Chiao Nick: your Dad shared your blog address with me, hope you don't mind. Tried sending a post earlier, don't think it worked so here goes again, have never done this before. Wish I could have seen you before you left, would have dropped a few lira for you to spend. Have been on the road for the last 5 weeks, next week Quebec City then home for awhile. A few ideas for your trip: if you are in Piazza Navonna (great fountains) go to Tre Scalini (means 3 ladders) and try the Tartuffo chocolate ball, they invented it. Stay clear of risotto in this square however, worst ever, tastes like minute rice and campbell's soup. If you go to the Jewish Quarter, try the fried artichokes. Otherwise, artichokes a la romana in any deli are great. At any pizza place, Pizza Quatro stagione (4 seasons) or Margherita were my favorites. Also, riso balls make a good snack. Have a great trip in the Eternal City! Buono apetito!
